Ciprosol -10 Inj Injection 100 ml in Bottle

COMPOSITION
Each mL Injection contains Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP 50 mg.

MECHANISM OF ACTION
Ciprofloxacin; the active ingredient of Ciprosol injection (vet) which is a bactericidal antibiotic and belongs to Fluoroquinolone group. It inhibits Bacterial DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and DNA-gyrase. Ciprofloxacin is the most potent against gram-negative bacilli bacteria (such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., and Neisseria spp.). Ciprofloxacin also has effectiveness against some gram-positive bacteria.

INDICATION
Cattle:
Ciprofloxacin is highly effective against Urinary tract infections & Pneumonia. Ciprofloxacin is also used to treat Skin, Bone and Joint infections, Prostatitis, Typhoid fever, Gastro-intestinal infections, Lower respiratory tract infections, Reproductive system infection, kerato conjunctivitis, Plague, and Salmonel¬losis etc. It is also effective against secondary bacterial infection of viral diseases.
Poultry:
Ciprosol Injection (Vet) is active against almost all diseases caused by Bacteria and Mycoplasma, such as Salmonellosis, Colibacillosis, C.R.D., Pasteurellosis, Streptococcosis, Staphylococcosis, Infectious Coryza etc. It is also effective against secondary bacterial infection of viral diseases.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Route: I/M or IN
Large & Small Animals: 1 mL 110 kg body weight daily for 3-5 days or as directed by registered Veteri¬nary doctor.
Poultry: 0.1 ml/kg body weight or as directed by registered Veterinary doctor.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Ciprosol Injection (Vet) should not be used with Chloramphenicals, Macrolides or Tetracyclines. The drug is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to any of its active ingredients.

PRECAUTIONS
Ciprosol Injection (Vet) should be used with caution in animal those suffering from liver and kidney diseases.

SIDE-EFFECTS
Lack of appetite, Vomiting, Diarrhea, colic, Central nervous system disorders such as Seizure or Dizziness may be observed in some animal.

USE IN PREGNANCY & LACTATION
Intravenous doses of Ciprofloxacin of up to 20 mg/kg of body weight in pregnant rats and mice have not shown evidence of maternal toxicity, embryotoxicity or teratogenic effects.Ciprosol Injection (Vet) should be used in pregnant & lactating animals according to registered veterinarian guideline.

DRUG INTERACTION
Nitrofurantoin impairs the efficacy of Ciprosol Injection (Vet) if used concurrently for urinary tract infection. Ciprofloxacin inhibits the biotransformation of Theophylline.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 12 days; Milk and Egg: 03 days.

STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
