Tolfenamic Acid BP

Dosage & Administration: Composition:

Each ml of injectable solution contains Tolfenamic Acid BP 40 mg.

Indication:

It is indicated as anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic agent.

In cattle – As an adjunct in the treatment of acute mastitis, used in conjunction with antibacterial therapy and as aid in the control of acute inflammation with bacterial respiratory disease.

Cattle: A single injection 1 ml/ 20 kg body weight by IM/IV/SC. For IM/ SC administer, if needed repeat every 48 hours. For IV administer, if needed repeat every 24 hours. If a second injection is needed this should be given in the opposite side of animal body.

Or, as per direction of registered Veterinary doctor.

Contraindication:

Do not use in animal shows hypersensitivity to tolfenamic acid.

Use in Pregnancy:

The product shouldn’t be used during pregnancy.

Side Effects:

Transient swelling could occur at the site of injection.

Withdrawal Period:

Milk – 0 day, Meat – 12 days.

Storage:

Store below 30⁰ C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
