Flumetin-Vet Powder 100 gm sachet

Composition: 

Each gram powder contains Flumequine BP 50 mg and Colistin Sulphate BP 500,000 I.U.

Indication:

Flumequine is effective against particularly Gram-negative bacteria e.g. Klebsiella spp., E. coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Serratia, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Neisseria meningitides, Pasteurella multocida, Campylobacter spp. and Shigella spp.

Colistin is also effective against Gram-negative bacteria, e.g. E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Brucella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Shigella spp. and Campylobacter spp.

Dosage & Administration:

For oral administration in the feed or drinking water. Add to feed or drinking water immediately before administration.

Poultry: 1 gm per litre of drinking water (10 mg/kg b.w.), during 3-4   consecutive days.

Calves: 1 gm per10 kg bodyweight, twice a day, during 3-5 days.

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to Flumequine, serious liver or renal insufficiency.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation:

No adverse effect found for use in pregnancy and lactation.

Adverse effects:

Hypersensitivity to Flumequine may occur.

Precaution:

Dispose of any unused product and empty packet. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental eye contact, flush the affected eye with copious amounts of clean running water. Wash hands and exposed skin after administering the product.

Drug Interaction:

Should not use in Combination with Trimethoprim and Nitrofuran derivatives (antagonism), or neuro-muscular agents.

Storage:

Store in a dry and cool place. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
