Kaprovet 100ml

PRESENTATION :

Each 100 ml solution contains 10 gm Ciprofloxacin that

is equivalent to 11.644 gm Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride

USP.

INDICATION :

Kaprovet is indicated for the infections caused by the

following microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella

spp, Mycoplasma spp, Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis,

Pasteurollosis, Streptococcosis, Staphylococcosis, and

infectious coryza. It is also indicated for the treatment of

secondary bacterial infections due to viral diseases. In

case of poultry, it is indicated for CRD (Mycoplasmosis),

Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis, Pasteurollosis,

Streptococcosis, Staphylococcosis and antipestifier

infection as well as infectious coryza of ducks.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION :

Prevention : 1 ml Kaprovet solution to be added in 4-8

litre of drinking water and to be administered for

consecutive 3 days.

Treatment : 1 ml Kaprovet solution to be added in 1-2

litre of drinking water and to be administered for

consecutive 3-5 days or as directed by the registered

veterinary physicians.

SIDE EFFECT :

Side effects are mild and transitory. It includes weakness

of the neonates, anaemia, anorexia and blurred vision.

CONTRAINDICATION :

The drug is contraindicated for the animal that has

hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolone or any ingredient of

the formulation.

CAUTION:

Kaprovet is not indicated with macrolides,

chloramphenicol, tetracycline etc. and its absorption is

delayed from stomach and intestine for the concomitant

administration of aluminum and magnesium.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION :

It can be used in pregnancy and lactation if it is necessary.
