Tialin S Vet Powder 100 gm

DESCRIPTION

Tialin® S vet is a sweet tasted water soluble powder containing Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate. Tiamulin is active against pathogenic mycoplasma and some Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria. Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract within 30 minutes. The excretion of its metabolites is mostly through bile and faeces.

COMPOSITION

Each gram powder contains

Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate BP 450 mg.

MODE OF ACTION

Tialin® S vet powder binds with bacterial 50s ribosomal subunit & inhibits protein synthesis by inactivating 50s ribosomal subunit. As a result, microorganism cannot survive.

INDICATION

Tialin® S vet powder is used for the treatment and control of respiratory infection associated with Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate susceptible microorganisms such as-

 Mycoplasma gallisepticum

 Mycoplasma synoviae

 Staphylococcus spp.

 Streptococcus spp.

 Clostridium perfringens

 Pasteurella spp.

 Haemophilus spp.

 Escherichia coli etc.

CONTRAINDICATION

Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate should not be used with coccidiostats like Monensin, Narasin and Salinomycin.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Partial cross resistance between Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate and Tylosin tartrate has been reported. Micro-organisms that are resistant to Tiamulin are also resistant to tylosin tartrate, but not vice versa.

PRECAUTION

Prepare fresh solutions of drinking water every day. Medicated water should be given in the morning. After consumption of the medicated solution, plain drinking water is required. Direct contact of the powder with the skin or mucous membrane may cause irritation.

Store below 30 °C temperature, Keep away from light and wet place. Keep out of reach of children.
